Building model cars has been a favorite pastime for boys and girls alike. Model cars also come in different levels so be sure to get the correct level of assembly for the person that will be building the model. It is virtually impossible to make a mistake if you assemble the body of the car first. By reading the instructions on the car you choose, you will understand the history of the particular car, be able to choose your colors and tips for finishing the model.

To begin the model, you first need to choose your workspace. Make sure all the parts are laid out and accounted for. If it is a plastic model, you will have to snap off all the tiny parts from the plastic parts frame. Using a file or something comprisable to the file, remove all of the unwanted plastic tags from the individual parts. After filing, taking sandpaper and rubbing over the parts will give the model an antiqued appearance. After the individual parts are removed and filed, you can begin the fun part of assembling the model.

Assembling the model will come in steps. Be sure to have the plastic cement ready. Using a toothpick will allow you to apply only small amounts of cement at the time. The first thing you will do in this assembly is put the body together first. Secondly, install the motor and be sure to install correctly so that the car will operate correctly.
